DeepFeet 1 Virtual
4 Weeks, 30 Credits Tuition: 599 Deposit: 300. Pre-Req: Licensed Massage Therapist Weekly Zoom Call: Tuesdays 1:30 PM PST
DeepFeet 1 is your introduction to barefoot massage. This intensive 30-hour certification program teaches posterior seated and standing techniques. The course runs for four weeks and can be completed from home or your office. You’ll learn under a certified DeepFeet instructor alongside other licensed massage therapists.
The course includes significant feet-on practice, so initially prepare for moderate difficulty. However, with adjustments and practice, most students can confidently deliver strokes. The DeepFeet teaching protocols cater to various skill levels and learning styles.
Topics covered will include DeepFeet methodology, body mechanics, barefoot techniques, contraindications, marketing, and certification. Techniques taught include cross-fiber friction, effleurage, petrissage, compression, trigger point, and myofascial techniques. Each week, you’ll participate in peer feedback and a one-hour Zoom class for live instruction. Setting aside 8-10 hours per week for coursework and practice is recommended. The course concludes with a one-hour private practical exam. Upon completion, you will be equipped to deliver a 60-75-minute detailed posterior Ashiatsu massage and qualify to take the anterior basics and advanced courses.
