Ashi Thai Virtual
3 Weeks, 25 Credits Tuition: 499 Deposit: 200 Pre-Req: Licensed Massage Therapist Weekly Zoom Calls: Tuesdays at 10 am PST
Discover the transformative power of Ashi-Thai, an innovative approach to traditional Thai stretching that utilizes an overhead bar system alongside the therapist's feet and body. This unique method minimizes the strain of heavy lifting, prevents bending at the waist, and significantly reduces wrist discomfort during compressions. Designed explicitly for Ashiatsu therapists, Ashi-Thai enhances barefoot massage techniques by introducing dynamic assisted stretching.
The Ashi-Thai workshop is organized into two comprehensive modules: posterior and anterior. Throughout the workshop, you will learn to apply techniques that align with traditional Thai energy lines, providing stretches that elongate muscles and relieve tension in frequently used muscle groups. Clients often report increased range of motion, decreased stress, and improved sense of balance and well-being following treatment. By the end of this course, you will have a distinctive skill set that will impress your clients and leave them eager for more.
Each week, you’ll receive peer feedback and participate in a one-hour Zoom class for live instruction. The course concludes with a one-hour private practical exam. You will be prepared to perform a two-hour Ashi Thai Treatment upon completion.
